Discover UR15, the new collaborative robot from Universal Robots
As an exhibitor at ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS, Universal Robots is expanding its UR Series range of collaborative robots
‘The fastest cobot ever designed by Universal Robots’ is the brand’s promise for its latest collaborative robot, the UR15, available for delivery since June 2025.
Capable of reaching speeds of 5 m/s, the UR15 reduces cycle times by up to 30% compared to other cobots from the brand, optimising productivity while reducing costs. It retains the fundamental qualities of Universal Robots: light weight, small footprint and high flexibility of integration, even in confined spaces.
This cobot benefits from UR OptiMove technology, which enables smoother trajectories and extremely precise movements, even at high speeds or with heavy loads. It is also powered by the PolyScope 5 and PolyScope X software platforms, which are ready for the integration of artificial intelligence.
Multiple applications
Designed for versatility, the UR15 supports a standard payload of 15 kg, which can be extended to 17.5 kg for certain applications such as palletising.
‘Specially designed to operate at higher speeds and with unrivalled fluidity in today’s robotics, it is perfectly suited to all types of production environments,’ summarises Tero Tolonen, Chief Product Officer at Universal Robots. Some sectors are particularly concerned, such as the automotive industry (optimisation of space and speed), metalworking and machining (optimal protection against infiltration) and electronics (good integration in confined spaces, including clean rooms).
This launch is part of a broader overhaul of the Universal Robots range. The UR15 joins the UR20 and UR30 in the high-performance UR series. At the same time, the company is updating its e-Series range to reflect the increased payload for its UR5e (now UR7e) and UR10e (now UR12e) models.
